Medical Cases
When a dog enters rescue, they often have had very little if any professional vet care. At their first checkup, medical issues may be uncovered that are not only costly but could be painful for the poor pup. Funds must be raised to pay for this type of unexpected care as it arises, and that’s where you can swoop in and save the day!

Sunny Sides’s bladder sugery
Sweet Sunny Sides was found tied to a fence at an apartment complex. She was probably abandoned because she can’t stop trying to go to the bathroom. This poor girl’s bladder is FULL of stones.
Bladder surgery and a diet of prescription food while she’s recovering are necessary to nurse this girl back to health.

Nova 〰️
Our Nova(caine) was born with a significant overbite. Unfortunately, it isn’t just cosmetic - her lower teeth push up into the roof of her mouth. Her medical chart says this causes “trauma to the upper palate,” ouch!
Believe it or not, sometimes overbites can be corrected with doggie braces. But in Nova’s case, surgery to remove some of her baby teeth is the first step. This will likely be followed by surgery to remove some of her adult teeth once they come in.
Novacaine (and all of the other costs) for Nova is not cheap! The low end estimate for her care is around $3,000, with the total cost unkown until her adult teeth come in.

Nova’s overbite also makes it difficult for her to pick up things like food and treats, poor thing! She doesn’t give up though as you can see in this short clip:
